My name is Bill Abram. This about us tells the story of how Detroit Commercial Photography came to be.

I first started in 1984 as a family Photographer, working with families of all types in every environment possible I honed my skills.

I attended many different schools, and seminars. I watched countless videos by some of the best icons of the industry. Assisted other photographers, and practiced, practiced more, even bought a manikin to practice with,

I quickly learned there was more to being a Professional Photographer than simply throwing a flash on a camera!
As a true professional you had to understand light, how that light hit your subject, where and at what intensity. How to work with multiple light sources, both natural as well as strobe, alone or together. Realize that light has color, depending on the time of day, and different light sources, will have a different color that will reflect on the subject as well!

As a true professional you are crafting the entire image! How the light interacts with the foreground, the subject, and the background to create a story telling crafted image with shape, dimension, and depth!

After 20 years I turned my attention to Commercial Photography, specializing in Food, Headshots, Product, and Video Production.
Now with over 40 years of experience in  photography, I have honed my skills in product, food and people photography.
My passion is to make each and every image look fabulous while creating images tailored to your needs, whether it’s for your social media, your website, your ecommerce platform, or for print on your business card, brochures, manuals, or packaging!
